Small businesses, big problems, easy solutions.
Al-Salam is a small
organization led and managed by a small group of folks. These folks are
business owners, physicians and professional in other areas. Running AL-Slam is
a part time thing for them with little time to spend and spare. Their focus has
been growing the organization in Carmel community through civic engagements. They've
had little time to research and implement right techs and tools to enhance and
compliment their efforts.
Such is the the situation in
most small non-profits; especially religious institutions.
Two immediate needs
jumped out:
1.
Ability to accept credit
cards from small donors.
o Onetime donation with ability to receive
receipts
o Recurring donations that just works
o Ability to charge credit cards; POS style.
2.
Ability to establish a
phone solution that works for their needs
o Receive/Handle calls by an Auto Attendant.
o Text "Give" or "Donate”, or other
keywords get the right answer.
o Change VoiceMails by designated admins with
options to use recorded
o Integrated Voice Response: “Press 1 for upcoming
events”, “2 to Donate”, “3 to Leave a message”, and so forth.
And some more!
Took on the challenge of
getting these good folks a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) using a few awesome
cloud services.
Here are some screenshots
of these solutions in action:
Virtual phone that accepts inbound keywords from members and delivers configurable messages.

Sure has been a lot of fun putting these in action.
